Question: Is it common for a person who was found not guilty of a crime, to still be deported if they have an ICE hold? My spouse was incarcerated at Clayton County Jail in Georgia, he had trial today and was found not guilty, but he still has an ICE Hold. What are the chances of him not being deported?

Answer:I believe the issue will now be his legal status in the U.S. It is certainly good news that he was not convicted of the crime, but his legal status could still be an issue. I would recommend that he hire an immigration Attorney – ASAP!
