George completed his Bachelor’s degree in History in 1992 from Valdosta State College and received his Juris Doctor from the Mississippi College School of Law in 1995. George is a former Assistant District Attorney, a member of the National College of DUI Defense, the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia, and a former member of the Georgia Bar Association’s Board of Governors. George was named a fellow of the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia, an honor that is limited to 4 percent of the attorneys in the state.

He and his family live in Willacoochee, Georgia which is conveniently located between his Douglas office and his new Valdosta office. George’s wife, Danielle, is the office manager and marketing director for his law firm. George’s daughter Alexandria is a 2012 graduate of Valwood and he hopes to send his four year old daughter Madge to Valwood in the near future.

George has been seen on countless television networks, including ABC, CBS, NBC, CW and Fox News affiliates around the nation. He has also been featured in major US newspapers, including a feature in USA Today. The National Association of Experts, Writers and Speakers nominated and presented George with a Media and Communication EXPY award in 2014. The Media and Communication EXPY is an award for those that have been recognized by the media, whether appearing on radio or TV, seen in newspapers or magazines for their work, or taken the next step and turned their knowledge into education for the public, communicating that message through CD’s and DVD’s, online training or some other form of media that communicates their message.

He is also a Producer of the documentary film “Mi Casa Hogar”. This documentary tells about Casa Hogar, a children’s home in Acapulco, Mexico. This documentary won an “Emmy Award” in Miami, Florida in November, 2013 and a “Telly Award” in March, 2014. George believes all of the awards and recognition will greatly benefit the children in the orphanage.

He is a member of the National College of DUI Defense, the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia & is a former member of the Georgia Bar Association’s Board of Governors. George is also National Highway Training and Safety Administration trained in Standardized Field Sobriety Tests as a Practitioner and Instructor. He has also completed Advanced Roadside Impaired Enforcement training and is scheduled for more advanced training/certifications in 2016.

Since 2010 George has concentrated his practice in the areas of DUI,  Criminal Defense & Family Immigration. The area his practice covers is the entire Southeastern region of Georgia. George is also National Highway Training and Safety Administration (NHTSA) trained in Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs) as a Practitioner and Instructor. He has also completed the Advanced Roadside Impaired Enforcement (A.R.I.D.E.) training in 2013.

Sandra GuestI am Sandra Guest. I have been an attorney with the GA Bar since October, 1998. I was a Prosecutor for the majority of my past legal career, spending 12 years working in the Lowndes County Solicitor-General’s Office and 5 years working in the Alapaha Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office. During those 17 years I have worked on misdemeanor and felony criminal cases. I look forward to using the training, knowledge, skills and experience I have gained over the past several years in prosecution to help you with your case.

Danielle McCranieWe appreciate you wanting to know more about us. I am Danielle McCranie, George’s wife. I started working at my husband’s law office in 2008. As office manager, I am the Director of Client Relations and Operations at the firm. My goal is to ensure that clients understand the legal process and receive the high quality care and attention that they deserve. I am also the marketing director here at McCranie Law Firm. I feel fortunate to be a part of such a caring and knowledgeable legal team, and we have become like an extended family at the McCranie Law Firm.

George and I are the proud parents of two wonderful daughters. We enjoy taking trips with our girls and creating lasting memories. Believe it or not, we enjoy working together. People ask me all the time “is it hard working with your husband?” I always laugh. I tell them one of the things I do to break up our day is when George gets home I greet him as if we have not seen each other all day. I feel fortunate to be able to build a business and a life with him.


Sonia Tapia – Criminal Legal Assistant

I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Armstrong Atlantic State University. I enjoy working here and helping our Clients by making their difficult process as smooth as possible for them. Cindy Gonzalez – Immigration Legal Assistant

We are excited to have Cindy as a member of Team McCranie! Cindy is married to Renato Gonzalez and they reside in Douglas, Georgia. Cindy is originally from Mexico; however, she arrived in the U.S. in May of 2001. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. As a part of Team McCranie, she has started educating the community about our Family Immigration services that has recently been added to our already existing DUI and Criminal Defense practice.


Yurixa Moore – Case Manager

I am married and have two beautiful children Kyan, who is 5, and Emily who is 3. I worked in the medical field since graduating from Coffee County High School. Neli Lopez – Customer Service Representative

She was an honored graduate from Atkinson County High School in 2014. After graduating, she attended Wiregrass Technical College and graduated with her associate degree in Phlebotomy in 2016. Neli’s biggest inspiration comes from her parents. She has always valued their work ethic and advice. They have taught her that everyone has rights and should be treated equally. I was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and came to the United States as a legal Permanent Resident when I was 9 years old. I became a U.S. citizen when I turned 18. I graduated from Coffee high School. I attended Wiregrass Technical College for Criminal Justice. I am married to Cindy Gonzalez.


Hanna Beron – Legal Assistant

My name is Hanna Beron. I was raised in North Carolina and got my Bachelor’s degree at UNC Chapel Hill where I double majored in International Relations and Political Science. My parents are Uruguayan, and I am a first-generation college graduate in my family. Since graduating, I’ve dedicated my time to social service projects in Morocco, Mexico, Israel and Florida while always maintaining my student mentality. All that I’ve learned from these experiences have brought me to McCranie Law firm where I can apply my passion to help people. I’m currently working on perfecting my Spanish and hoping to improve my Arabic in the future!

Micah Brock – IT Technician

When I was 18, I enlisted into the United States Marine Corps and spent 5 years as a Technical Controller in the Communications field. I traveled to Japan and South Korea, providing security and building networks for many people. I am working towards furthering my education of technology and following my passion of becoming a dog trainer. I hope to use my experience in the communications field to provide the technical support of Team McCranie!


Octavio Chavez – Legal Assistant

I am Octavio Antonio Aguilar Chavez. I am a happily married man. I was born in Ensenada, Baja California Norte, however at an early age I moved to Southern California. I lived there for twenty years and I adopted it as my second home; I also studied at the University of English Teachers Institute, which allowed me to work as a teacher and developed my ability to professionally contribute to the formation of extraordinary people. While continuing my studies, I simultaneously worked as a translator. After a long time of teaching, which I enjoyed, I decided to leave my comfort zone and venture into the area of customer service because it fascinates me to help realize the dreams of our clients and at the end of the day feel satisfied that I helped make the difference by working with excellence and professionalism; I like to be remembered by my customers for the excellent service I provided.

Hi, my name is Ana Guzman. I am now a part of McCranie Law Firm as a legal assistant for the Immigration Department. I was born and raised here in Douglas, GA. I graduated from Coffee High and shortly after, I left for the Marine Corps recruit training. I’m currently on year 3 in the Marine Corps reserves and continuously enjoy the experiences it has to offer. I’m glad to have this new opportunity to expand my knowledge and help within the immigration department.


Damaris de la Cruz Figueroa – Legal Assistant

Hello, my name is Damaris de la Cruz Figueroa. I was born in Hollywood, FL and at the age of 10 I moved to Puerto Rico with my grandparents. I graduated with a Nursing Associates Degree at the University of Puerto Rico. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. My husband is in the Airforce and we have 2 kids. My past experiences were as a Nurse, SPED paraeducator and School Nurse Tech. I enjoy helping others and I hope to continue to do so at the McCranie Law Firm.
